Julie Henry replied to Ryan Chatterton's discussion Combating Urban Sprawl
"Hey, I like what you've got going here. I think something that would help is to include infrastructure costs into new developments on the fringe. Does anyone know if they do this already? I know that sometimes developers/owners are charged for…"

Julie Henry replied to Joanna Straughn's discussion "everything else has brand"
"I love the industrial character of the district, especially the brick. However, I feel that giving the city power ,such as having them impose a design requirement, forces an identity. Maybe they could provide incentive for using brick material on…"

Profile Information

What's your interest in joining this group?
To create change and be involved!
Do you own a business or property in the Granary District? And if so, what business or property?
No
What would your ideal neighborhood look like?
My ideal neighborhood would be a place where change is allowed and maybe even seen as a good thing. *gasp A place free of design guidelines and perfect sidewalks; maybe dirt or wood chip paths. A place where I can choose a mode of transportation other than a car and enjoy the experience. A place where everyone can roam about no matter their circumstance, blind, deaf, "handicapped", old, young, everyone. I think our current system caters to upper class, "normal" people and punishes those who have trouble driving or paying for a car.
