The Granary District

Creating walkable, urban, human-centered neighborhoods in the Granary District.

This photo is from setting up for movie night in the backyard of the Utah Pickle Factory in the Granary District.

It was a great night with fresh popped popcorn, friends, and The Goonies

Thank you to Lou Barrett for hosting us and everyone else for making this great night possible.

What can we do better next time? Any suggestions for a neighborhood event?

Hey James,

It was awesome working with you on this. I personally feel, and also heard from people at the event, that we need more movie nights. I propose we do them at least bi-weekly and attempt to crowdsource all the materials again.

Second, an outdoor art show might garner a bit of attention from the local community. Especially if we interface with the artspace folks.

That would be great if there were more movie nights, I had to miss the last one because of homework. Wish I was there..

Gratz to you guys for putting it together. It's such a cool idea!

I think I'll just blow up FB and make us have another one...

Likewise, Ryan. Thanks again for all your help. It was kind of a perfect storm last time. If we can find a new screen and good speakers we should do it again ASAP! Like a fall, caramel apple, scary movie movie night.

I've been looking around for the screen and speakers, need to search more.

An outdoor art show would be cool too.

You were greatly missed, Julie!!
