The Granary District

Creating walkable, urban, human-centered neighborhoods in the Granary District.

Salt Lake City's Neighborhood business conference:

I heard about this on the radio this morning. I thought there may be a few current and prospective tenants of The Granary that would be interested. Its free and open to the public but space is limited.

Taken from website:

As part of an effort to support the thriving local economy and the community it fosters, Salt Lake City Corporation has teamed up with Local First Utah and Vest Pocket Business Coalition to host the 3rd Annual Neighborhood Business Conference.
The conference will be held at the University of Utah's Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building on May 10th, 2012. The purpose of the conference is to assist business districts with marketing and branding initiatives and to provide resources & support to small, local  businesses in Salt Lake City.
This year's conference will focus on the Local Effect and how dollars spent at local businesses support the local economy. Although the focus of this conference is on Business Districts, the Local Effect is the theory that ties service, retail, and community together, regardless of whether you're a home-based business, an accountant, or a service professional.
Regardless of your business, this conference is for all involved in Salt Lake's very own Local Effect.

Thanks for sharing, Quinn. I went last year and it was a great event, should be even better this year. Matt Monson from Vest Pocket who's helping to put the conference on will be at the charrette helping to lead the Complimentary Business session.
