Chris Brown explaining his idea on how to reactivate an unused railroad spur in the neighborhood.
What if the railroad spurs.... were turned into... public gardens!!!!, where people could plant whatever they wanted and display some art there as well?
Because the streetcar may not come for a number of years, why not provide this engaging temporary use?
If it is a flower garden, there would be no worry about chemicals getting into fruits and veggies.
I think it would be neat to leave the tracks and features in place and plant between them.
Like these beautiful greenways ribboning through the neighborhood. Brilliant!
What does everyone else think?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I'm really pumped about it. Do you all think anyone would be opposed if we just went and planted things and cleaned up the strip?
